DKSH introduces Japan to Felchlin's patissier chocolate heaven

On a journey through Japan more than 30 years ago, Max Felchlin noted three things about the Japanese: their sweet tooth, quality-consciousness and a tendency to be highly creative when it comes to making sweets.

This impression was the motivation for Felchlin to approach DKSH Japan about a partnership that has prospered over the years since its beginning in the early 1970s. DKSH was the first company in Japan to sell premium chocolate raw materials for truffles, pralines, cakes and other confectionery products. In 1992, the concept of a technical training center, as they already existed in Switzerland, was adopted and DKSH Japan opened Condirama Japan in Yokohama. In the Isogo service building facility, DKSH's highly qualified chefs train existing and potential customers and conduct seminars for confectioners who use Felchlin products. Our research team supplies a steady stream of innovative solutions and the latest confectionary trends from Europe, in particular Switzerland. In 2008, Felchlin celebrated its 100th anniversary.
